Only a Dream

Again, sorry for the lack of updates. I am back from my 2 trips with much to blog. I went on one trip with my family to Wyoming and one with a group to Mexico to build a house for a needy family.
I'll start off with my family vacation. We went into Yellowstone and saw Old Faithful(which took a really long time to go off!). There was also a dead buffalo(yuck!) which people seemed fascinated at staring at. We also went and saw a great play at a dinner theater. We also took a nice hike and saw some pretty waterfalls among other things.
I just back from my 2nd trip, which was Mexico. I went with my youth group and we built a house in 3 days! There was much bonding within the group and I am really glad I went. The looks on the family members faces and how touched they were, will stay with me forever. I also have to say the crush on the person in my previous entry grew on this trip, because of how he was on this trip to me and everyone else. I was one of the isomniacs within the group, so there were a lot of good late nite talks with the others who stayed up late. This was my first real experience with building and the tools that go along with it. I shoveled buckets of dirt for 2 or 3 hours during a sandstorm on the first day. I also put up stucco(this really annoyed me at first, but I got much better at it), chicken wire(the hardest and most annoying thing we did), hammered boards, helped saw boards, helped carry various walls, and shoveled rocks among other things.
As for my plans right now, they include:
- Getting ready for my grandpa's surgery
- Learning to drive and getting a car
- Getting more hours in at my job
- Working out a lot more
- Getting my singing practiced
- Hanging out with friends and youth group
- Just relaxing!
